Business partners Helen Clues and Shona Perkins’ love of crafts has inspired them to pool their skills and experience enabling them to open a new gallery / exhibition space, along side the already successful bead shop and craft classes that they currently run.

“We believe there is a wealth of talent in this area and we are offering an affordable gallery space to local artists and makers. With people exploring their creative side in the current economic climate, we wanted to offer somewhere that people can share their work on a manageable scale without having to commit to producing a large body of work, usually required for a large gallery. Our aim is to establish an ever changing eclectic mix of local work, offering art lovers the chance to buy locally made, unique and beautiful items. With our enthusiasm and combined knowledge we believe we are in an ideal position to showcase and promote the wonderful work we know is out there! Four events in three days ! Phew !

Fabulous day at Hatton Craft Fair today, have met some really lovely people, demonstrated painting techniques all day, drunk lots of tea and talked alot! Really looking forward to tomorrow - more of the same. It's so lovely to share what I do with people and get comments and reactions to my work - it's what it's all about!

Mosaic workshops are going well, places are limited so please book early to make sure you get a place.  A chance to explore beautiful materials and create your own pieces, grouted and ready to take home. Freshly ground coffee and chocolate shortbread included! We were so engrossed the other day we just continued to work all day with lunch on the go! Create atmosphere and really wonderful pieces created. Can't wait for the next one!

Exciting new Mosaic classes are now running every Thursday in the creative space upstairs at Beading Crafty Bead shop, The Square Kenilworth. A chance to learn mosaic techniques, cutting, designing and making your own projects. The course runs from 10-12 and then 1-3 on the thursday and costs £45.00 per person. This price includes materials, tuition and yummy refreshments. A great chance to come and make something for yourself or a unique handmade gift for someone special.

23 very enthusiastic children all under 7! Talk about energy and volume! They were amazing, when they knew we had clay the cheer that went up was deafening! I'm sure they would be happy with clay every week! We started off working on clay faces but work soon branched off into other ideas and areas, animals, landscapes and vehicles, superheros.

I am really looking forward to next Monday, although trying to limit them to 2 biscuits each is a challenge!
